When the Curtain is Called

So forth sets the sun. The moon glistens in the back light. The audience howls to the greatest ending of the day. It is however in that moment. That moment of cool blues and blacks. That we began to wonder amongst the dotted lights in the sky, is this the end? Or is it just the beginning?

Here I am

I breathe, though slow, I breathe. I run, weak in my legs, I run. I look back, fear of behind me, I look back. I am here, pushing forward, here I am.

Look up

Have you been looking to the sky? Maybe rain will wash your sins If darkness falls before night Will you read books from a magazine? Only when a desk becomes a table Fish can fly when thrown far Radio's turned to clocks Clocks no longer tock A poet writes a novel Have you been looking to the sky?

My Moonlit Girl

As I lay in the grass
Peering into the bright lit moon
With the midnight breeze grazing my skin
I can only wonder if she is doing the same
Maybe its colder on her side
Maybe its barely dark
Maybe she is wondering the same
As I lay in the grass
Peering into the bright moon
I can only wonder if I'll ever meet
My moonlit girl.

Missing You

Sometimes in the night, I wonder if your there
Standing so bright, with a steady stare.
Cant believe like a fog, you were gone.
Maybe if I keep looking in the night
I'll see you standing so bright.
Never mind I'll find you.
I wish nothing but the best for you
Don't forget me while your there.
Like a flower in spring,
I'll blossom again. Until then,
I'll tread through the dark winter
Not forgetting where I was,
Or who I was with you.

A Lifetime Companion For A Day

In the night walks the lady,
In the day sleeps the man
For a moment or two they cross paths
Giving sparks to what is bland

As they dance for the moment
Hearts sing and praise,
This is what they were meant
To move in the moonlight gaze

‘Ave Marie’ will play so loud
As they waltz down the stage
Her in her beautiful white dress
He with his puffed out chest

Go to bed one year
And wake together the next
Life can be a dream or so he’s been told
Roll over and say goodnight
Give her the cash before she leaves
Lock your door for tomorrow night.

Moon Loaded

Sunshine in a cloudy day
Lite rays hit my speckled face
Will this be real or a dream I can taste?
I've told so many lies
Dont know if I'm dreamin
Or a nightmare I cant describe

Im so alone! I aint breathin'!
Grab my hat, I'll be leavin
When the moon hits the ground
It will be me who's not been found!

Were you here?
Was I there?
Could you read me from over there?
I broke your heart
Did it twice not one chance was it nice

Im so alone! I aint breathin'!
Grab my hat, I'll be leavin
When the moon hits the ground
It will be me who's not been found!

One day I'll come to my senses
I'll be climbin' over fences
Hell I'll be tryin to shoot at the MOON
